I see Bender dropped the bail to an affordable level on a suspected predator and guess what he posted it. He is now free to walk the streets again. Baby rapers get 6 months, dealers with weapons charges are released. How many more times will this judge be allowed to sit on the bench ?? He is dangerous, unfair and thinks he is beyond reproach.

So we should have a binding TRIAL here on FL1.
Before the Jury gets it.
Yea that's it. It should be decided here.
And maybe can comment on any restaurants that serve this person too.

Shouldn't we wait for an actual conviction before we string them up?
When did John Lennon sing "Give Vigilante Justice a Chance"?

Man accused of trying to pick up teen out on bail By MIKE HIBBARD mhibbard@fltimes.com | Posted: Friday, May 4, 2012 10:28 am WATERLOO — A Seneca Falls man accused of sending sexual text messages to a 13-year-old girl and trying to arrange a meeting with her is out of the Seneca County Correctional Facility after a judge again lowered his bail. County Judge Dennis Bender lowered Reed’s bail Monday to $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. Reed posted bail later that day. His attorney, Public Defender John Nabinger, asked for the lower bail during a brief appearance in county court. Nabinger said Reed is the primary caregiver for his parents, both of whom are suffering from dementia and living with Reed and his family. “Mr. Reed is a life resident of Seneca Falls and his whole family is in the area,” Nabinger said. “I don’t believe he is a flight risk.” Seneca Falls police arrested Reed, 49, of 62 Green St., Feb. 24 following an investigation that started the day before. Authorities learned the teenage girl had been receiving inappropriate text messages of a sexual nature on her cell phone. The girl turned her phone over to police, who began communicating via text message with a man they later identified as Reed. While officers had the phone, Reed allegedly sent explicit sexual text messages and a picture of his private area, believing he was sending them to the girl. Police later set up a meeting point with Reed, where it was agreed he would pick up the girl in his vehicle for a sexual encounter. Reed was arrested at the meeting place. Police said he possessed the cell phone allegedly used to send the messages. A county grand jury indicted Reed on charges of second-degree disseminating indecent material to a minor, second-degree attempted rape, second-degree attempted criminal sexual act, third-degree criminal solicitation and endangering the welfare of a child. The endangering charge is a misdemeanor, while the rest are felonies. Reed’s bail was originally set at $100,000 cash or $200,000 bond in Seneca Falls Town Court, but Bender reduced it to $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond last month before lowering it again Monday. Nabinger said his client couldn’t afford bail that was $10,000 or higher. County District Attorney Barry Porsch opposed the request to reduce bail again. “My client and his wife are basically bankrupt,” Nabinger said. “He has lost his job and his kids are in college. The financial difficulties are beginning to add up.”
In other county court action this week: • Lori A. Sanders, 26, formerly of Interlaken, was convicted of felony driving while intoxicated, sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $520 court surcharge. Her driving privileges were revoked. She’ll be required to have an ignition interlock device in her vehicle for four years if she regains driving privileges. County deputies arrested Sanders Oct. 24, 2011, after a traffic stop on Route 96A in Lodi. Sanders also was convicted of fourth-degree grand larceny and sentenced to a concurrent five-year period of probation. In that case, she was arrested by county sheriff’s office investigators over a December 2011 incident in Lodi. Sanders’ probation supervision will be transferred to Chenango County, where she is now living. • Stephen M. Manko, 29, of Syracuse, was convicted of felony driving while ability impaired by drugs and sentenced to nine months in the Seneca County Correctional Facility. He was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay a $520 court surcharge. Waterloo police arrested Manko April 14, 2011, after a traffic stop in the village. The charge was a felony because he had a previous DWAI conviction, that coming in Oneida County in 2008. Manko’s driving privileges were revoked. He’ll be required to have an ignition interlock device in her vehicle for four years if she regains driving privileges. • Rachael M. Chiclana, 28, of Seneca Falls, was convicted of felony aggravated driving while intoxicated and sentenced to three days in jail and five years of probation. She was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay a $520 court surcharge. Her driving privileges were revoked. She’ll be required to have an ignition interlock device in her vehicle for four years if she regains driving privileges. Seneca Falls police arrested Chiclana after an Oct. 9, 2011, traffic stop on West Bayard Street. • Anthony B. Williams, 23, of Rochester, was convicted of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, and sentenced to a six-month jail term and five years of probation. Williams was arrested Nov. 2, 2011, following the execution of a search warrant by state police and Seneca Falls police at a home on Ovid Street in Seneca Falls. Police found 20 baggies of cocaine in the home. Williams admitted he intended to sell them. Since Williams had been in jail since his arrest, he was released Monday for time served. Probation supervision will be transferred to Monroe County. • Michael A. Bell, 24, formerly of Walworth, was convicted of two counts of violation of probation and sentenced to one year in prison and a year of parole. Bell had been serving a probation sentence upon a 2008 conviction in Wayne County for burglary, attempted burglary and criminal mischief. Bell admitted violating terms of his probation by using drugs and alcohol.
