(Waterloo) - New York State Police are investigating a car-SUV accident that occured this morning at the intersection of Hecker and Brewer Roads in the town of Waterloo.
One person died in the crash.
The area around the crash scene is blocked by Waterloo Fire Police as state police continue to investigate the accident
Thoughts and prayers to the families of everyone involved. Maybe a 4 way stop sign on Brewer Rd would help reduce the number of accidents there. It seems at least once a week there is some kind of accident around this intersection.

Or, at least it would increase the odds that someone will actually stop at one of the S-T-O-P signs.

I would like to see some rumble(sp) strips like on the side of the interstates a few yards before all stop signs as a warning of a upcoming stop sign ahead. I guess raised strips won't work as the snow plows would rip them up,but, cut strips would work. Cheap and effective. This corner is one of the worst along with the red light at 336 and 96. If you drift to the side of any interstate, you very soon know you are off the road.

Great idea. Also along with drivers ED after 10 yrs of driving some just dont look. Why not sure I have avoided several accoidents from Idiots pulling right out in front of me or running lights in a hurry to go nowhere.

This issue of her Drivers licence wouldn`t of changed a thing. My prayers are out to the family and for her quick recovery. She could have a lot to face after healing up. Again God Bless all involved. Just maybe some day the DOT will look again at this hazardous intersection. This isn`t the first accident at this site. As I viewed the scene they were almost 3/4 all the way through the intersection when impact was made. Was there time for the othe vehicle to avoid it ? Only God knows.

I would like to thank everyone that have prayed for our family. We all will miss Sam very much!!! Mary is doing ok. She is waiting to have surgery to repair her rib cage. As we find out more information I will pass it along.
