At Ford they are flying out of the showrooms. They sold about 12 Focus Electrics in Dec/Jan and haven't anymore.

Electrics were rejected by informed and experienced consumers early in the 20th, as soon as it was crystal clear that gas cars had improved to the point where they were much better than electrics, to anyone with even half a brain, anyway. But "only government" is smart enough to pick up a failed idea, and to try to shove it down "the people['s]" throats, using "the people[s]" money, in the name of "the environment". It's yet another government failure; "the people" have rightly rejected it. The government will no doubt come up with another ploy to coerce "the people" into going along with its unfunded mandate, AKA CAFE standards. And that's all the Volt was; I don't think even Generous Motors thought it was a good enough idea to bet the firm on. But i did read the article and i thought it was only on social security checks and other federal aid, They are trying to phase out paper checks and do direct bank transfers, and i believe the fee was for those types of transactions. Nobody pays to have Social Security direct deposited. If someone is foolish enough to have it deposited in a bank or credit union that is charging, they shouldn't blame Obama. Everyone wants the government to run cheaper. So Obama phases out paper check mailing and people go nuts. Make the government smaller except when it effects me.
