Ron Paul to visit Cornell April 19
ITHACA -- Ron Paul, Republican presidential candidate and Texas congressman, will pay a visit to Cornell University April 19.
The free event, "Youth for Ron Paul," is scheduled five days before New York's presidential primary and will take place at the Lynah Rink on Campus Road at Cornell.
The event is sponsored by two Cornell student groups, the Cornell Republicans and the Cornell Libertarians.

Listen, I get Ron Paul's appeal but I think someone who has been in politics since the 1970s, and who has pursued the presidency three times, qualifies as a "career politician."

Marginalized on the national stage, not in Texas where he spent his career as a politician, enjoying wildly popular support. Representing uber-rich Galveston.
I'm not anti-Paul, really. But he's hardly as anti-establishment as the nouveau-hipster Paul fans want to think he is.

I know you're not the nouveau-hipster variety, VM. You're too old I'm talking more about young voters who are just discovering Paul.

One point Dr Paul made was how the US is made up of 5 % of the world population, but makes up 20 % of the worlds prison population. Also he said that since 2001 the US has created 40,000 more laws. This is the problem with our loss of civil rights. Police are uneducated, can't think or reason on their own, are over zealous, and can arrest people for just about anything even if they have no evidence. They can just assume someone is guilty and get away with it, because they know the justice system will cover-up for their incompetence. There is no accountability. It is a closed system. All of our publicly paid systems are closed, and are only concerned with self sustenance. Dr Paul was amazing. He is our country's only hope.
