Just put in Direct TV.& Verision Fios. Seems this service is a lot faster than RR was. I had RR from day one 1972 it was time for a change and we are happy we did it. Saving approx over a $100. per month now.

It is you, I'm sorry to say, my friend. Actually, you have no TV.

It's the meds. Tell you what...just give me all your meds, and I will safely and responsibly dispose of them. Got anything for a wounded heart, inflamed sensibilities, and simmering outrage?

It's not what you probably think. If it were a woman that were bothering me, I'd just get a dog, and experience pure love. No, it's the world in general. Hey...I've got a dog...to heck with the world!. Meds are always a plus, though!

I agree, and we also had their internet service. It was great for a month. Then we very rarely could connect or have any internet service at all. They sent techs out and at times would schedule apts and we'd sit around waiting for someone and they would never show up. I thought TWC RR sucked, well it opened my eyes to how great and uninterrupted their service is not to mention their technical expertise. Sorry, but as soon as I can, I'm switching back to TWC. I'm not fond at all with Direct TV...we had them before, we should have learned from the first time. Weird thing is, when we had them before we had Rochester local channels, with TWC we had Rochester and Syracuse local channels, this time when we switched to Direct TV they gave us Syracuse local channels. I work in the Rochester area, therefore like to tune into the Rochester news, not Syracuse. I called Direct TV to ask them to switch us to Rochester channels and they said they could not because of the zoning of where we live. Ridiculous!!!

I live DirecTV. The service I've had far surpasses TW. My Internet is through Verizon though. Other than a faulty wireless router, I have had no problems in over 7 years.

Well, you are one of the fortunate ones. Any time the wind blows or there's a bad wind storm/snow or ice out goes the Dish. Never had that problem in the two years we had TWC. Yes, money saved was quite appealing. But, now we know too good to be true. As for the internet, we just had problem after problem and their Technical Service really is not up to par with what we ever received from TWC. I also don't understand how we could receive both local Syracuse and Rochester with TWC and now just Syracuse with Direct TV, I mentioned we had Direct a few years back and we had Rochester local channels. Something just does not make sense with them at all. Fortunately, since our internet problems were well documented for two months, they did give us a 2 month credit for the poor service, when we finally cancelled the internet service with them all together, we just told them to look back at all of our problem history and that is why we were cancelling, they never tried to get us to stay - they totally understood. Must be a recurrent problem with their internet services, whether it's FIOS or Verizon. Yes, stuck for another year and a half, I cannot wait until it is over. I also miss some channels we used to receive on TWC that we don't get with Direct.

Never had a problem with Directv, and our dish points through our trees. My mother, on the other hand, has had nothing but problems with TW.

No problems with Directv here at all other than the occasional thunder storm. I didn't know that Direct even had internet service, I was always told they didn't. I've had Direct 6 years now, and any time I had a problem they were quite prompt and very helpful when fixing it. Much better than Dish or Cable, and I've tried them all over the years. Direct is the better of them all, in my mind.

During just about any sort of T-Storm it goes out. The locals from Syracuse go out at least once a week for no real reason anyone can give her when she calls about it. Just crap like that. She has called about the outages, but they do not seem very helpful. Her neighbors have the same problems.

My history is that I had TWC and liked it. I had a problem with it, and wanted to watch boxing on a Fri night. I called them at 1530 Fri, and they said they could come out on Teues. On Mon, I had DirecTV installed.

In '99, I got onto the internet, and DirecTV internet was quite expensive, so I went to TWC TV+RR.

I had a Verizon land line, and I needed a cell for working on the boats. I got Sprint, but the coverage sucked on the Canal. I went to Verizon cell.

In '04 I gave up watching TV, and dropped the TW TV, and went to just RR. Then I got mad because Verizon hadn't run the cheaper DSL past the house (they still haven't), so I dropped the Verizon cell and LL, and just went with AT&T cell, partly because the guy whom I was working for (Liberty Boat Tours), was on AT&T, and wintered in Texas. The reception was great, and they had rollover minutes; we never went over limit, although there were 5 of us on a 700 min plan.

My actual phone sucked, and it was even harder to understand what I was talking about than it is in person.

So, my Lady got me a very nice Verizon cell, on her plan, for last Xmas. Coverage was good in SF, and is good in Dryden. She still can't understand me in person...says it's due to my stupidity...who am I to argue?

Also, she says it's my duck lips...you should have seen me on the day soy lecithin made my lips swell up! I've added it to the long list of soy products that I think shouldn't be fed to animals, including humans. Now I get my lecithin from raw eggs.

She does, and it's a sweet love, I think...but I fear that she got me the phone so that I could call her long distance, and could clearly hear her if she says that she's got everything under control, and that it's not necessary for me to return just yet.

Not sure, but I know she's enough smarter than I to easily fool me... \:\)
