Doubtless there are better places to spend summer days, summer nights than in ballparks, doubtless. Never the less, decades after a person has stopped collecting bubblegum cards he can still discover himself collecting ballparks. And not just the stadiums, but, their surrounding neighborhoods, their smells their special seasons and moods. Quaint sure, beautiful not really. However when the sun is bright and the air is crisp and your seat seems closer than the on deck circle.... all is forgiven.

Eutaw Street for me. Smelling Boog's BBQ watching batting practice from the flag court. Making note of the bronze baseballs placed on Eutaw St of all home runs ever hit out there between the wall and the warehouse. It never gets old.

Yeah, but the Yankees will be in the World Series again this year, this time against the Washington Nationals, thanks to the Zimmermans (Ryan and Jordan, not George) and Mr. Applegate.

Yankees is there any other team? Sure there is... the Red Sox. I've got to say one thing though. At least the New York Yankees actually play in New York City. As opposed to the New York Giants and New York Jets who play in (wait for it...) New Jersey! "The Red Socks? R-U nuts too? Don't know who the Red Socks are. I follow the Red Sox. BTW, I grew up in Boston. What team would follow if you grew up there? Serious question... how is Mariano Rivera doing? Any word?
Sorry about the socks thing I stand corrected. Being from Boston ok so why follow them ? Brained washed? Just another Redneck Yankee so I see what you mean LOL Better bet on the Yankees
