thats a nice picture of waterloo pitcher Tori Poplaski delivering a pitch to the Penn Yan softball batter, but too bad it's an Illegal Pitch. Notice both feet off the ground, well thats a No No. Its a great advantage to the picture if she can release the ball after leaping 3 or 4 feet in front of the rubber. that's why the rule states the trailing foot can not leave the ground. It can be dragged but no leaping.

Yes you are right about her pitch release. In fact there are a lot of pitchers that have done that too from time to time . I have seen in College,USA Team players on occasion also have done a illegal pitch . Just like an occasional bad umpire call it is part of the game.In that instant the camera happened to show it , anyone who knows about the game of fast pitch softball , knows there is no mechanical advantage in a so called crow hop.Shame on YOU, that you felt the need to knock a hard working player. The game always boils down to who hits the ball, makes the least amount of errors, and scores the most runs! SEE YOU ON THE FIELD!

TY for being good humored about it. I couldn't resist...I had a vision of a late Iron Age Scot sneaking across the border. \:\)
