Oh Bluezone, are you afraid of your own shadow too?

In California there is such a thing as a living wage, currently minimum wage is over $12/hour. My guys made $15, plus we paid their health insurance which was also mandated by the City we lived in.

If undocumented workers can provide a social security card and California state issued ID then the employer has satisfied the I-9 form. They would buy fake social security cards and that was a know fact.

And yes, you are one sharp tack. If they sent their money home it took money from the local economy. Not my problem, I did not care.

there would be less money for your business and all other business in that area

it appears that would be a negative effect for you to employ them

hope you do not question when big companies out source jobs over sea

is that why you moved from california?

and what other benefits would they get with those illegal cards?

assisted housing
food assistance
medical assistance...

so if they are getting more out of the system then they are putting in how is that helping the businesses or local community?

must be why you moved

you helped the local economy fail then you took your money and left the state

job well done...

do not complain when your taxes are high or if you do not get your share of ss or any other benefits

30 million

Don't give Bush so much credit. Democrats and Republicans have been working hand-in-hand in destroying this country. We've been headed downhill and toward bankruptcy since 1913, when the Federal Reserve Act was passed, allowing a corporation of banks the authority to print our money based on credit created out of thin air and loan it to our government with interest attached.

Getting away with what? They provided the necessary documentation for employment.

What they did with their money is their business, not yours. Legal immigrants cannot send their money overseas or across borders is what you are implying.

Which free local flyer is this event advertised in? I would be amazed if the town let the fire department continue with this nonsense.

the necessary documentation is invalid if it is a known fact to be fake

you commited a crime just like those presenting the fake ID's

if you ran a bar that served alcohol and you allowed known underage patrons to drink you are breaking the law

They provided documentation. No laws were broken. How could he be aware that they were fake id's?

He paid them well and gave them bennies. That's pretty good!

California has been grappling with a budget deficit that promises to result in massive cuts to higher education and course cancellations. Tuition for the California State University system rose 21% this year, to just over $9,000 for in-state residents

Can't use that excuse anymore that you don't know the documentation is fake. E-Verify will tell you in about 15 seconds.

Anyone, regardless of race/ethnicity/citizenship can get healthcare at the clinic in Geneva. I believe they call themselves "Community Healthcare", also known as a clinic that many migrants go to. Anyone is welcome there. They charge based on a sliding scale, they are reasonable and knowledgeable.

Another interesting fact - any American that works in agriculture, the same as the migrants, can qualify for "free" healthcare. All it takes is pay stubs. So step up and start picking apples, pumpkins, grapes, cherries, pears, oranges, or anything else for that matter, if you want your government cheese too \:\)

And just one other thing...

I realize it may be wrong for undocumented immigrants to come into this country, but can you blame them for trying to make something more for their families? I have been to many other countries where they live in squalor. I'm not saying that it's our fault, and that they should all come here and live for free. I think the system is just flawed. I know many families that have come here because of the terrible living conditions. It is unfortunate that now it takes 7-10 years for them to even become a citizen. If government would just cut through half of the bureaucratic BS they could be making more in taxes from these people.

Not looking to start an argument, but sometimes when you look at things from another perspective it is a little more understandable. I'd also rather pay for their healthcare than the incredibly FAT americans that claim they are disabled. It is NOT disabled, it's called being fat and lazy. I don't see anyone complaining about them.

the $25 million for that health center comes out of your pocket
why not send the bill to the migrants home country and see if it will pay the bill?
