You should talk to people who live in California then you would think that the other persons' opinion is pretty tame.

I lived in California for 13 years and my business was successful because of these very people we are speaking of. Most of my guys worked 3 or 4 jobs and sent all their money back home to their families.

Their work ethic far surpasses that of the typical sloth-like American who would prefer government checks to actual physical labor. Many aspects of successful American labor are because of the Mexican immigrant or migrant worker.

My guys would come to work tired, sick, hungry. They would work a full shift and then go clean offices in downtown buildings all night. Never a complaint!

It's part of their culture, regardless of immigration status. We've taken many trips south of the border for vacations and are always impressed with the effort they put into their respective jobs.

Shame on Northside Fire Company. After one complaint, they should know better than to rent to that group. Also I object to a fire company who may get state funds for equipment, etc. renting to illegal aliens thus causing more drain on taxpayers. Yes, I have fire volunteer people in my family, (not Northside), and I respect them for their volunteerism. But I do not respect the ones at Northside who I feel are wasting my money, endangering life and property and being very stupid. Send the illegals back, let them apply for legal status and speak English.

First, I have NO issue with LEGAL workers coming to the US. My family hires documented Mexican workers each year. Second, maybe if we didn't have cheap illegal labor, our kids would work summers on the farms (like the old days) and not sit on their fat butts playing video games or dealing drugs off the front porch. Just a thought.

I have no problem with legal workers in the U.S. Up north the vineyard owners swear by them, they work hard and show back up to work the next day after getting paid. They may go out and get boozed up but they do show up for work afterwards. The locals can't hack working after getting loaded the night before.

I know a guy who owned three restaurants in southwest Florida until retiring a few years ago. He told me that the restaruants would not be in business if not for all the mexicans working in them. Translation, the locals are not motivated enough to work hard enough to get and keep those restaurant jobs. Just saying...

did you pay them a decent market wage?
did you provide full benefits to the workers?
are employers not breaking the law if they hire them?
if they sent all their money back home then they are taking money out of the local economy

Every time you make a purchase at Walmart you are taking money out of the local economy. So, what's your point?

The problem I have with these people is the same as most true Americans. If you want to come here and work fine but pay your own way. Why should they come here and get free medical, dental daycare etc. when most Americans have to do without.

If americans didnt have such a sense of entitlement and were willing to get their hands dirty, and earn a honest days wage for a honest days work, then the door wouldnt be open for illegals to come in and work here. But for many years now, and its only gonna get worse generations of kids think they just deserve to have a 6 figure job. I remember when minimum wage was below 5 dollars and working my butt off for that 4 something an hr. Also the business owners have to have a responsibility in the matter. If they werent willing to pay illegals an illegal wage for migrant work then the problem wouldnt exist either. So if you want to be a TRUE AMERICAN as someone has stated make sure you not only report the illegals, but the business's that employ them as well. To kill a snake u gotta chop off the head folks.

I agree with you 100%. The people who employ illegals or who rent them housing need to be held accountable to. I've talked to Border Patrol people before and they say if the people are not presently breaking any laws then they don't have time to bother with them. He said if they picked up every illegal they would be overwhelmed.

Just remember, don't get too bent on "closing the border". When our government reaches its apparent goal of breaking the country, we may all be heading SOUTH across the border for better jobs. You can only hold your hand out so long before the trough runs dry.

believe they received $10 million prior to that amount

how much does that add to the cost of your products by your taxes?
