Replacement Central AC Unit

I went through Home Depot and was given an estimate of almost $8500 to replace my current packaged central air unit with a split system and new duct work. The new unit is a 2-ton Rheem unit. Is this quote rather high? Any local recommendations? Thank you.

A new blower and condenser should be about $4,000 installed by a reputable contractor. That includes removal of the old junk. BTW - Window units are noisy and less efficient plus you lose the use of a window. Stupid suggestion. _________________________ Setting the hook so often, so easy & so deep, LOL
