Perhaps he imagines that a football game, and saluting someone involved in the entertainment industry, are more important than commemorating the Battle of Waterloo, and all of those who died to defeat Napolean. And to a citizenry like this one, those things may be more important. Just give them bread and circuses, and they'll be happy.

There's NO reason to change the name of the town. The man has done nothing to warrant greatness ,nor anything else of substantial merit to mankind. He simply "coached" a team that plays a sport, for entertainment purposes. We as a society,need to stop putting coaches,athletes,and others in the entertainment business,on a pedestal. Instead ,"we" should be honoring people like doctors,nurses,scientist. Those that actually do great things,save lives,and make a difference in our lives. But then again,in our society of simple minded people,these worthless achievements are all that most can understand.
