Apparently it makes a big difference who you talk to. My daughter and I spoke with the vice principal recently. We had a good conversation and got excellent results. My hat is off to her!

If I were the vice principal and their was a thread like this running, I might be rather accomodating to you also. This is serious stuff and all parents should be made to feel as you do.

thats funny cause its the vice princple herself that completely blew this case with my son and she knows she screwed up...the school knows there are some of us out there that is on top and all over them with bully issues and they dont want my video to go plublic along with the revealing what punishment was passed out...

Well--I only thought things were better. I don't have any names yet, or any idea how it started, but today my grandson was ganged up on by three seniors! It's cowardly when 3 seniors go after a 13 year old! As I said I don't know how it started but 3 on 1!? This is the type of thing that brings on extreme retaliation! At present He won't tell what happened out of fear. What wrong here anyway and why does it persist!

i to think that stuff is still going on with my son and question him every day but just get the feeling that he is holding back cause he dont want his attackers retailating when i go tot he school...jsut by the way he acts makes me wonder....but i cant do anything till he comes clean and tells me...the school is fully aware of the crap going on and conitnues to turn the blind eye....its rather disturbing...so many are getting bullied and harrassed and tis the same group doing it over and over...i pray your grandson releases names so you can go forth and persue this...its aweful watching these poor kids suffer...i am just thank full that my son coninues to not let this bring his grades down and maitains high honor roll status...god help the kids if and when i ever get my hands on them the school dont wanna act so i guess ima gonna have to...if we dont protect out kids no one else will...

Many students dedicated toward learning that are not being bullied see what is going on and will typically paint the picture for a trained professional during an interview provided comments remain confidential. Take 50% of the student body and talk to them and a picture of the problem will emerge if such a problem exists.

If no one talks, nothing can be done. If you can find out names and time, I'm sure now it will be investigated. The incident I was concerned with was caught on tape and dealt with to our satisfaction. Don't forget too, "the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

I just read a novel on this called "Inventing Elliot." It's about a boy that moved to a new school to start over. He did everything he could not to get noticed the wrong way. In the book he went and told his teacher at his old school that he was being bullied and they didn't care. A must read if someone would like to see the real result of bulling at school.

Like MG I no longer live in the Penn Yan Area. I now live in Colorado and the Lions Club here Hudson / Kennesburg Lions Club last month had 2 movie stars come in to 5 school and talk about Bullying in the Schools. It went over real big and from what I was told Tuesday night we ended up with coverage about it in like 40 states. If you want to see some of it our club is on Facebook. (Rock Star Lions)
