In case you need any seamless gutter work done I thought I would share my recent experience. I needed a whole new system installed.

The work was done by O'Neil and Co. 315-549-2513

I called one week ago to get an estimate. My call was returned promptly that evening. John came the next day to measure, etc. for the estimate. He called the next day with the figures. The crew came for the installation on Thursday and finnished the job this AM. Today I have a completed job that looks great and seems to be helping with the water problem in my basement.

I am very pleased with the job that was done and would suggest if you need that type of work done to give John a call before he gets booked for the season.

I was very pleased with the way John handled things. He returned my call promptly, came when he told me he would, and did the job as soon as the weather permitted.

Thank you. O'Neil and Co. Seamless Gutter and Downspout Specialist

Thanks for the info. We're looking to get our gutters replaced as they are most likely the cause of our basement water woes. Do you mind sharing roughly how much installing an entire system set you back and if it was a one or two-story home? A round number will do. I know all homes are different but I'd like to get an idea on how much replacing an entire system top to bottom typically goes for.

My situation was a little usual. It is a two story colonial with one main high roof, a three sided sun room, a front entry with a separate low peaked roof (that had no gutters and needed them), and two low roofs on the back of the house that never had gutters and should have. My sump pump ran almost continously on a rainy day and for two weeks after a long rain ended. Last night it was only kicking on every few minutes instead of every few seconds. My property is also flooded during rains from drainage from another property.

As you said, every job is different. Seamless gutters are, according to my son, more expensive but the best way to go.

There would be no harm in calling John. He would give you a free estimate and then you decide if you want the job.

Had John do my work as I was told by my builder that he was on a roof one time when he slipped and was falling off the roof when he grabbed the gutter and it held him till someone got a ladder up to him. Was very happy with my work from John.
