Short-sighted to say the least. The proliferation of meth labs should be a bonus you might want to factor in.

Go frack in hell.

You seem to be in the minority among upstate residents with that short-sighted approach to temporary economic gain.

If you think a couple hundred at a anti-fracking meeting is a majority your living in fantasyland which makes your positions understandable.

Not a majority though. Majority rules. Tough luck to you.

Actually they are very legitimate ideas that need to happen for our state to progress. The problem is people like you can't comprehend progress. You can't even comprehend what it takes for a windmill to turn!

Suffolk Pols: Don’t Dump Fracking Waste Here
By Timothy Bolger on February 27th, 2012
Two Suffolk County legislators are proposing a bill that would preemptively block a West Babylon sewage treatment plant from accepting toxic wastewater from natural gas drilling in upstate New York.

02/27/2012 07:11 PM
SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- Some Sullivan County officials are breathing a sigh of relief after two state Supreme Court judges rule in favor of local hydrofracking bans; giving towns the right to decide the fate of gas drilling in their area.

Maine against LP
By Janet Flint, Special to the BDN
Posted Feb. 21, 2012, at 3:44 p.m.

Board members of the Friends of Sears Island, or FOSI, feel compelled to express serious concerns regarding the proposed construction and development of a liquid propane gas, or LPG, terminal by DCP Midstream Partners at Mack Point in Searsport.Health threats include the added air and water pollution. As per DCP’s permit application, 108 tons of pollutant will be released into the air, which is frequently heavy and moist from fog banks, thus keeping airborne pollutants close to the ground. This threatens the wildlife and the public.

Natalie Merchant, formerly of the 10,000 Maniacs, along with Sandra Steingraber and The Horse Flies, will spend Saturday March 10 at the Forum Theatre, located in Binghamton NY at 236 Washington Street. Why? They will perform at a very special benefit concert against hydrofracking, which involves our water on the East Coas

I don't have to prove anything to you. Windmills are not cost efficient without subsidies that's a given. You're argument was that there's not enough wind in Geneva for them to turn. Everytime I see them turning I say to myself I pity the poor experiment staition.
