Several streets in southern Vestal are being evacuated due to rising creek levels, according to Broome County officials.
The county is currently in contact with the Red Cross to consider shelter options for affected residents. No information is yet available on shelters for residents without power, or on what streets are being evacuated.
The West Hill Road bridge in Vestal is closed, and police are checking the status of other creek bridges in the community.
