I don't think forced socialism is the answer to any problem, including that of having readily available and relatively cheap energy supply, which we already have, when compared to wind power.

If you insist on advocating for a more expensive and impractical source of energy, you should do the decent, moral thing and use your own money, instead of advocating that other people's money be stolen for that use.

If and when it's a good idea, people will voluntarily buy into it, without being forced to do so at gunpoint, which is how all taxes are seized, ultimately.

That would be my guess. Nothing but another slap across the face for Geneva.

Or just an extortion tactic. NYSEG always knew of the proximity issue. By not saying anything until the turbines are in place, they get some equipment replaced for free.

I don't see what right or authority NYSEG has to halt the project at all.

Anyone?

If there's a safety issue, I'm pretty sure they have the legal ability to halt it until the issue is resolved.

I'm also sure as I can be that NYSEG HAD to have known exactly where the turbines would be situated, and their exact height, VERY early on, and that they knew there would be a safety issue, but, for reasons of their own, they kept mum.

IOW, safety isn't the issue, or should never have become an issue; they've been playing a different game from the start, and not an honest one. Zotos should take them to court and try to have a judge make NYSEG move the lines on their own dime, and also pay for any losses the delay has caused Zotos. Surely there's one honest judge left, somewhere...

I think everybodys playing Mr. nice guy until the turbines are turning. Once they are turning then it will be a different story.

Where are the rudders on the back so the props can face the prevailing junk winds?

Don't use rudders anymore. If you look at the ones south of Naples towards Cohocton they are built the same way.

Do you not mean the IDA should sue. Zoto's did not put up the windmills, they are just getting the benefit, or at least will be.

Are you saying they're 100% funded by IDA?

Zotos is the party being harmed by loss deprivation of benefit, if the welfare scam is strictly a grant; they would be the party that sues. Or, if IDA (the long-suffering taxpayers, that is), is being harmed by lack of loan repayment, then they should join suit and try to pull our money out of the socialist rat hole.

They are computer controlled for maximum wind velocity. The computer turns them and holds them in position. A rudder what do you think this is the 19th century?

One of those things needs to "fall" on the NYSEG corporate offices.

I see no high voltage power lines near these
zotos should offer a $100,000 insurance policy if the line is cut

the city is also losing $400,000 per year

Wonder what NYSEG is thinking . NYS Thruway will start building their wind mills in 2012 ( Yes I realize its just not Nyseg that will be losing money)

This is just public humiliation.

However, it's really nothing Geneva doesn't see on a regular basis.

This morning, they had moved several inches. They were not in motion, but something is happening.
