Like I said lets get the process going the price will come down in the next few years and make it more cost effective.
I don't think forced socialism is the answer to any problem, including that of having readily available and relatively cheap energy supply, which we already have, when compared to wind power.
If you insist on advocating for a more expensive and impractical source of energy, you should do the decent, moral thing and use your own money, instead of advocating that other people's money be stolen for that use.
If and when it's a good idea, people will voluntarily buy into it, without being forced to do so at gunpoint, which is how all taxes are seized, ultimately.

I don't see what right or authority NYSEG has to halt the project at all.
Anyone?

If there's a safety issue, I'm pretty sure they have the legal ability to halt it until the issue is resolved.
I'm also sure as I can be that NYSEG HAD to have known exactly where the turbines would be situated, and their exact height, VERY early on, and that they knew there would be a safety issue, but, for reasons of their own, they kept mum.
IOW, safety isn't the issue, or should never have become an issue; they've been playing a different game from the start, and not an honest one. Zotos should take them to court and try to have a judge make NYSEG move the lines on their own dime, and also pay for any losses the delay has caused Zotos. Surely there's one honest judge left, somewhere...

I think everybodys playing Mr. nice guy until the turbines are turning. Once they are turning then it will be a different story.

Do you not mean the IDA should sue. Zoto's did not put up the windmills, they are just getting the benefit, or at least will be.

Wonder what NYSEG is thinking . NYS Thruway will start building their wind mills in 2012 ( Yes I realize its just not Nyseg that will be losing money)

This is just public humiliation.
However, it's really nothing Geneva doesn't see on a regular basis.

This morning, they had moved several inches. They were not in motion, but something is happening.
