I need someone to take down an old ceiling and spackle/prime it. I started doing it, and it is going to be harder than I thought. Any suggestions? PM's welcome.

It is a series of tile squares. Made of fiberglass. (I think) Needs to all come down, and prepped for painting. Not a huge kitchen at all.

Eh....We have lived here 20 years, and they were there when we moved in. Seems to coming right down as I started.

if it is an older tile it may contain asbestos. proceed with caution.

Already had friend look at it, as I was prepared for that. I was assured it was not asbestos. Yey.

that is good news. it should come down easy. are the tiles hanging inside a grid or are they nailed/stapled to the ceiling?

you could use decorative ceiling tile (tin or plastic) to go over the ceiling. You just nail them up

Arno. Quick, cheap, honest. He's done several jobs for me, some of them had some nasty uneven rafters and walls and they made every one look perfect!!
