Metal equipment used in the concrete forming process was stolen from a storage facility and the Auburn Police Department needs your help finding the equipment and the person or persons responsible.
Police were dispatched to a storage facility where a local contractor stores their equipment. It was discovered that between 3 and 5 tons of metal braces, brackets and clamps were stolen along with a metal rebar. The estimated value of the equipment exceeds $10,000.
Authorities say the thefts occurred over the last several months and those responsible for stealing the metal drove inside the building where the metal equipment was stored in 55-gallon drums.
The suspected motive of the thefts, Police say, is to scrap the metal for money.
