Science-based medical information? You mean the "science" these for-profit drug companies publish that cure nobody, only offering expensive treatment until the day they die? Remember, there is no profit to be made from a cured patient.
This is from the Wiki page you linked to:
Quote:
Food consumption
Mercola advocates a diet consisting mostly of unprocessed foods. He sees value in paleolithic diets and advocates metabolic typing, and is a proponent of vegetable juicing.[16] Mercola argues fervently against over-consumption of sugar, especially high-fructose corn syrup, which is the predominant sweetener of many commercial sodas and soft drinks, and processed flour and grains, which the body rapidly converts into sugar. He has also been an advocate of increasing the consumption of Omega-3 fats and of strategies to greatly increase blood levels of Vitamin D3.
Eating unprocessed foods? Vegetable juicing? Lowering consumption of sugar, especially High-Fructose Corn Syrup?
Sorry to butt in, but Esowatch ist not Wikipedia. Not everybody can write at Esowatch. The Esowatchers choose authors by experience, and this creates a special quality of the articles.
However, if you feel you can contribute something, you can email them at info at esowatch dot com and ask for an account.
Anyone claiming to debunk solid science and recommends treatments markedly different than the norm warrants review. They have an axe to grind or are selling something, most likely.
I personally know numerous people benefitting from big pharma. To think that medications are bad is just ignorant. I'm not willing to harm my children, for example, by withholding medication in favor of krill oil or hot chili peppers.

The same solid science that brought you genetically-modified foods that cause many people allergic reactions? The same solid science that wants to clone animals for human consumption?

Are you including all "medications" or only some? I'm wondering if you're including diabetic "medications" because it's most likely the diabetes was caused by the foods your "solid science" gave us. Besides, if medications were not bad at all there wouldn't be a big market for lawsuits, such as 1-800-BAD-DRUG. There are "medicines" being recalled all the time. Why, if there is "solid science" behind them?

I'm more about disease prevention through good nutrition from real and whole foods. If you think everything should be treated with a synthetic chemical and that natural remedies should be completely ignored, that's up to you. The chemicals in our food and environment are making us sick but we should not fear, for their is a chemical pill we can take that will not cure us, but only make the symptoms more tolerable. It's sort of like how NyQuil "cures" the common cold. You can call NyQuil medicine if you want.
I also question any product or service that has extensive advertising. I read an article once in which the basic premise was advertising is geared to sell you things you don't need, and it included the contrary, you don't need to advertise things people do need. The more a product is advertised, the less I trust it (think used car salesmen).

MeRight...I could't agree with you more on the proactive approach of eating good, wholesome foods. On the other hand, food or food products are not the answer to various diseases and ailments as touted by Mercola's business. He eschews vaccinations, of all things. Pure rubbish. Your boy is trying to sell stuff and feed his greed.

That's the government. The government makes up problems and then screws it up when they try and fix the nonexistent problem.

Ordo ab Chao - Out of Chaos, comes Order
Basically saying, they introduce chaos until the people cry for order, which they offer to the people in the form of a solution that grants them more authority, furthering an agenda: Novus Ordo Seclorum - New Order of the Ages
