Two Busted in Groton For Heroin Trafficking

Over 200 bags of heroin with an estimated street value of $4,000, a small amount of marijuana, and $8,000 in cash were seized after State Police Narcotic Investigators arrested two men in Groton.

Kashif A. Dove of Queens NY and Michael D. Grinell of Groton, both 23 are being held in Tompkins County Jail on bail, and are being charged with dealing heroin. . A multi-agency investigation into trafficking of the drug in Tompkins County culminated Wednesday October 28 with a search warrant for the duos residence. Officers led by the State Police Community Narcotics Team arrested the men at their residence on Pleasant Valley Road in Groton. Along with the cache' of narcotics investigators also recovered a digital scale.

Dove and Grinell face charges of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. They were charged with intent to sell the narcotic drugs, according to troopers. They were arraigned in Groton Town Court and were being held in Tompkins County Jail with the bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. They are due to appear in court at a later date.
