I don't believe you can actually change your name any longer...there was some serious abuse of the privilege a few years back...but you can open a new account with a different email addy and a new name. It may not be a satisfactory answer but I do believe it's the way things are.

A Moderator can modify/change your name for you. It is usually reserved for newer posters who might be uncomfortable with the name they first chose (like their real name). However the poster would still need to login with the original name.
