It's been twenty five years and the greatest movie in the history of movies is being remade. I'm talking of course of "Red Dawn." This time it's the Chinese, (probably just trying to collect a debt,) and it takes place around Detroit. Will it work without Swayze? Time will tell...2010.

I dunno... I'm going to guess that it's going to be pretty lame.
Think about it...
How many known actors were in the original Red Dawn? You never know, it may just be awesome! But you're probably right.
um? patrick swayze? jennifer grey? charlie sheen? All known actors....
You beat me to it. Actually, I would say none of them were stars yet... but it was around the corner and they WERE known. Charlie Sheen and C Thomas Howell had just come off of making The Outsiders, which was a pretty popular film at the time. Also, Leaha Thompson and Powers Booth were both in the film. Powers Booth was a well-known and respected character actor, even at that time. So were Harry Dean Stanton and Barry Corbin, both who appeared in the film as well.
In contrast, I don't recognize one single individual in this upcoming remake.
