Advertised as the "Fastest 1/2 Mile Clay Oval in NY State".

It WAS an awesome track. Tri-oval actually. Ran late-models and modifieds on Saturday nights.

Memories? Favorite drivers?

Was there the night Bobby Cain showed up with a wing on his car and they wouldnt let him race so he parked his car in front of the Grand stand and held the races up for awhile, and my favorite was Wee-Willie Allen..

Good old Rollie! Lighting up his Charlie Brown on the roof of that 1950 Chevy whenever he took the lead. Half the spectators booed him, us kids cheered!

Remember the push cart races before the feature? My 'driver' loosened the nut on another drivers front wheel before the race one night. It worked. But we never won a single race anyway.

Remember kids night? Kids were allowed to cram into their favorite drivers cars for a lap. Rode with George Ely. Wow. An insurance nightmare waiting to happen!

Remember that awful night Frank Eldridge was killed when cars on the front stretch spun and slammed into the starters stand.

Bobby Cain with his awesome chop-down 1961 Ford Falcon, complete with wing, holding up things until they decided if he could run with it on.

Great races on that super-smooth track.

I don't remember the driver's name, but my favorite car was a red Buick(?) that had the number 00.

There was a 00 in the late model division driven by Dick Swarthout at one time. Could that be it? He later went on to drive the #75 blue/white coupe owned by Frank Guererri.

I'm not sure. It was back in the mid to late 50's.

Swarthout drove a #00 late model in the mid-sixties.

Not sure who your driver was.

I believe that a red Buick 00 was driven by Dick Deline. His boy, Dan, ran that number in the 70's with much success.
