GCSD Superintendent Search - 01/11/20 04:44 PM

Anyone think the search for Trina Newton's replacement won't end up selecting the internal candidate?

Fortunately there are actual certifications required for the position.

Is there anyone internally who is qualified?

If by "qualified" you mean the paperwork and credentials, then, yes, the post usually titled Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum is qualified. To be clear, GSCD refers to this post as the Office of School Improvement and Accountability. If you look at the trend of scores during his time on the job, I'm not sure you'd run out to recruit him, but it looks like he has a lock on the position.
