US Congressman offers an amendment to repeal Medicare.

All Republicans vote No, which is a vote FOR Medicare.

The guy is a little over dramatic, but he gets the point across. Why aren't Republicans voting against government health care?

That makes sense. Why don't we pull the rug out from under people who need the help right now, while we debate an alternative for another ten years.

But but... I thought they were all just freeloaders sucking off the Socialist system?

Hypocrites.

The Repubs aren't voting against Medicare because they know it will have an immediate effect on seniors... and seniors actually vote.

exactly. Why do they claim to be against these programs though, and then vote for them?

It's called "double-talk." Politicians are masters of it on both sides of the aisle. The thing is, they need to be called on it the next time they rail against government Healthcare issues.

Well what I meant was why do they say they are against government programs - when it should cost them voters. Why aren't those seniors voting against the republicans? And if they are, how are the Republicans gaining voters by passing social programs.
