The bill for the Coronation

The bill for the Coronation - 01/18/09 06:11 PM

President Bush has declared a state of emergency over the cost projected for the inauguration, now mounting over an estimated $150 million.

As the article says, this is more than triple the amont spent on Bush's inauguration, but even that was too rich for liberals, who howled about that cost.

But somehow, since it's a liberal who's being inaugurated this time, we don't hear a word from those who felt $43 million was an outrageous amount to pay for an inauguration, even though it was also historic, being of a Presidential offspring.

Ah well. We're used by now to the media totally abandoning their claimed role as public watchdogs to fawn over Obama. Who ever suggested that life was fair?

Meanwhile, in what Obama himself calls the worst economic crisis since the great depression, how much money should government be throwing at a one day event?

I don't think I'll even watch it. Every time BHO opens his mouth it's another lie. I'll probably read a good book or check out what's going on here.
